Alien

industrial teal, rust, and a green screen in the dark

EverBox.Space dashboard in the Alien theme — industrial teal, rust, and a green screen in the dark

The aesthetic

The Nostromo is the least glamorous spacecraft ever filmed, and that is the point - it is a haulage vessel with stained walls and a crew who want to go home. The dials take its colour: a desaturated grey-teal that reads as painted metal rather than as sky or water.

The green is the terminal. Old phosphor displays are the only light source in that ship with any life in them, and here that green does the controls - the parts of the interface that are still listening to you.

What stays calm

This theme is deliberately the dimmest in the set. The ground is nearly black, the dials are low in saturation, and the only bright thing is a small green. It should feel like a room where most of the systems are asleep and one is not. Glass stays neutral and nothing animates.

Who it is for

For long shifts. For a second monitor that should be legible without ever pulling your eye. And for anyone who finds the hum of a working machine more restful than silence.

Alien EverBox theme

An EverBox palette for countdowns, timers and shared spaces. Every dial sits in the same cold grey-teal, on a black with just enough green in it to look like a powered screen. The controls are the one bright thing in the room.

Colour palette

Four dials climbing out of the dark: the year is a wet slate that barely separates from the ground, the month a deep sea-green, the day a weathered teal, and the hour the pale grey-green of a display left running. Behind them, near-black with a green cast, and a panel surface only a shade above it. The controls take a hazard green — the one signal colour, and the only place the theme raises its voice.

Every EverBox theme is a dark colour scheme for the same calm dashboard — countdowns, timers, notes and a quiet ambient clock. Pick one and it applies everywhere; the layout never changes, only the colour.
